Preset_maps
—
reset memory mapping data after exec
Process Control Library (libproc, -lproc)
#include
<libproc.h>
void
Preset_maps
(struct ps_prochandle
*P);
The
Preset_maps
()
function resets all of the mapping data, cached symbol tables, debug
information, CTF, and more in the process handle P.
The map information will rebuild itself on the execution of another
libproc(3LIB) function that
requires the information. This function should be called any time after a
process handle performs an exec(2). As
such, this interface is only relevant to the manipulation of live processes
and not core files or ELF files. For more information, see the
PROGRAMMING
NOTES section in
libproc(3LIB).
See LOCKING in libproc(3LIB).
